How much stretch do the baby pouches have?

They have enough stretch to conform to you and your baby's shape and movement. The fleece pouches have a little more stretch than the cotton pouches. We have found the perfect amount of stretch that provides maximum comfort but maintains its structure and won't stretch out of shape.

What are the good and bad points of the baby pouch carrier?

•  Easy to use. They're especially wonderful when babies are learning to move about by themselves. There's no adjusting. You can just put them in or pull them out with ease

•  You can try several different positions

•  It's perfect for newborns as it keeps them safe and snug with no undue pressure on their spines

•  It replicates the womb environment thereby works to calm baby

•  It's washable and compact

•  On the negative side, if you get the wrong size then the pouch may not be quite as comfortable. It can sit too low on your waist putting pressure on your back or it can be harder to fit your baby in. If you follow the instructions in our sizing chart you should get the right size the first time. If you don't choose the right size you can always exchange it for the perfect fit

Can I carry my baby in all positions without assistance from another person?

Yes you can. As your baby grows you can use all the positions without any help from another person. All positions are very quick and simple to get in and out of.

If my baby falls asleep in the pouch can I take them out easily without waking them?

Yes you can. Baby can be laid down and the pouch can easily be removed without baby being woken up. It is my favorite way to soothe a fussy baby to sleep.

Can I use my pouch to carry twins?

Yes you can carry twins in the same pouch. This works best with newborns you can situate on opposite sides of the pouch. They can share the same pouch up for to four months or when their combined weight reaches 19 - 22lbs. You may need a bigger size than you would otherwise wear to allow extra room for two. Many parents prefer to use separate pouches and place them on opposite shoulders. See 'Wearing Instructions: twins' to view pictures.

 Can my baby fall out?

Not if used correctly. Keep your baby sitting deep in the pouch and positioned on the serged seem. Common sense is important. If you lean over to pick something up, then put your hand on your baby to hold her them securely. If you do this, then your baby will not fall out. Bubsnug is not responsible for accidents caused by improper use of the pouch. On a personal note, if I'm carrying an older baby that likes to move about then I prefer to keep a hand on them. One of my favorite things about this pouch is that it keeps baby close to you so you can feel them and predict their movements at all times.

I'm nervous about putting my baby in since he/she is fussy.

This is my secret weapon for soothing fussy babies. The trick is to start walking around as soon as you put them in and the rhythm of the movement soothes them better than anything else I have found (width the exception of) mothers milk, of course!
